Diagnosis You are trying to post a goods movement with reference to a document,for example a purchase order or a reservation, via transaction MIGO. Atleast one of the MIGO items contains a subitem created by the A&DMPN interchangeabiity functionality. The reference document has to beupdated in the background with a new material number during the postingoperation. In some cases (for example: during the posting of a goodreceipt (GR) for a purchase order), the new separate task is used forupdating the background reference document. However, due to varioustechnical reasons, either the creation of the separate task may fail orthe receipt of results from the separate task may fail. These technicalreasons are: - system failure: a system crash occurs on the receiving side - communication failure: there is a connection or communication problemduring the creation of the new task - resource failure: there are not enough technical resources to createthe new task System Response Error message ADPIC 005: Update of reference document failed due totechnical reasons Procedure Wait a while and then try to post the document again. It may be that themissing resources will become available after other processes, whichwere blocking them, have finished. If this does not ease the situation, contact your system administrator. |
