The active definition of the object, and not the definition which youare currently displaying in the ABAP Dictionary and which you mightalready have changed from the active version, is stored in the versiondatabase.

Procedure
Note:
To display the active version, you can switch the display in the ABAPDictionary for most of the objects with the function 'Active
<->Inactive'.
