Diagnosis
Conversion requests (conversion of data, changes to the database tablewith the exception of ADD FIELD) are not carried out directly by theactivator, but instead are marked for background conversion (delayedconversion). A different program must be started for the actualconversion.
This procedure is used to improve performance and to avoid the risk ofthere being any DDL locks on the tables to be converted, as theseprevent the database table from being changed.
It was found that the object had already been scheduled for backgroundconversion.
