SAP Message AA483 - Account assignment not possible (Asset not assigned to a business area)

Diagnosis
You are posting to asset &v2& &v3&, which is not assigned to a businessarea. However, in company code &v1&, in which you are posting, theindicator for "business area balance sheet" is set.

System Response
It is not possible to post to the asset.

Procedure
Do one of the following:

  • Enter a business area in the master data of the asset.

  • Post to a different asset.

  • Change the indicator for "business area balance sheets" for the company
    • code (transaction OBY6).
