SAP Message AA170 - Interest calc. start date not allowed in dep.area & (Please correct)

Diagnosis
You entered the interest calculation start date &V2& in depreciationarea &V1&. This is not allowed for one of the following reasons:

  • Interest calculation is not allowed in depreciation area &V1&, due to
    • its definition.
    • The depreciation key used does not have a phase for the calculation of
      • interest.

      Procedure

      • Correct the definition of depreciation area &V1&.

      • Specify a phase for the calculation of interest in the Customizing
        • definition of the depreciation key used.
