Diagnosis
In most cases, the Qualifying Week of a pregnancy is 15 weeks beforethe Expected Week of Childbirth.
In the case of a premature birth before the start of a Qualifying Week,the Qualifying Week is changed to start on the Sunday on or before theactual date of birth. In the case of a still-birth in the week beforethe Qualifying Week the parent is entitled to Statutory Maternity Payor Statutory Paternity Pay and the Qualifying Week is changed to starton the Sunday on or before the still-birth occured.
