Diagnosis
An employee is only eligible for Statutory Adoption Pay or StatutoryPaternity Pay (adoption) in cases where the Matching Certificate isissued on or after 6th April 2003. You have entered an issue date forthe Matching Certificate before this qualifying date.
Note: The Matching Certificate is the certificate given by the adoptionagency to the person or persons adopting the child, when the adoptingparents are notified that they have been matched with a child.

Procedure
Review the eligibility of the employee for paid absence entitlement,and if required, enter an issue date for the Matching Certificateafter this qualifying date.
