Diagnosis The date within the field Intended start APP is later than thedate of the actual placement of the child, which is contained in thefield Actual placement. An employee must begin StatutoryAdoption Leave (SAL) on, or no more than two weeks before, the actualplacement date of the adopted child Procedure Maintain the data in either of these two fields above, to ensure thatSAL begins on, or no more than two weeks before, the actual placementdate of the adopted child.
