The date of notification given by the employee of intention to takeStatutory Adoption Leave is before the date the employee received aMatching Certificate, this date being the official date the employee ismatched with a child. To allow entitlement for either StatutoryAdoption Pay or Statutory Paternity Pay (adoption), an employee mustgive notification of intention to take paid SAL on or after the datethe employee is matched with a child and receives a matchingcertificate.
