An employee must provide a self-certificate (SC4) for entitlement toStatutory Paternity Pay (adoption). Set the Self-Certificateprovided indicator when an employee submits a SC4 self-certificate.If the Self-Certificate provided indicator is set, the fieldNotificatn. of match becomes an obligatory field. The matchingdate is the day that the employee is notified by the adoption agencythat they have been matched with a child.
The matching date must be on or before the date that the employeenotifies the employer of their intention to take Statutory AdoptionLeave (SAL). The date the employee notifies the employer of intentionto take SAL is entered in the field Notfcatn. to employer .Under the rules governing entitlement to Statutory Paternity Pay(adoption), the employee must give notice to the employer that theyintend to take SAL within seven days of the matching date.
