Diagnosis
A person may have only one residence permit status (infotype record) atone time. Tthe record to be added, however, overlaps with an existingrecord (Residence permit status: &V1&, Validity Start Date: &V2&,Validity End Date: &V3&).

System Response
The infotype record cannot be saved.

Procedure
If you want the system to delete or restrict the existing record,proceed as follows:
First of all, save the record that is to be added with the residencepermit status of the old record (&V1&).
Then change the residence permit status of the record to the desiredvalue (&V4&).
Otherwise, choose a different period for the record that you want to addor change the existing records so that overlapping would no longer occuronce this new record had been added.
