Diagnosis In Release 2.1, the standard dimensions of a window (and hence of ascreen) were extended from 20 lines by 80 columns to 21 lines by 84columns. Older screens are converted automatically by the ScreenPainter when it recognizes that the screen has not yet been saved underthe new dimensions. The conversion shifts all existing screen elementsone column to the right. This means that there is at least one freecolumn on the left. This can be used, for example, to convert a groupheader into a group box. The free column on the left is then occupiedby the left-hand edge of the box, and you do not have to adjust theposition of the header. When you next save the screen, the convertedform is written to the database and the screen is flagged as converted. |
