SAP Message 37240 - Graphical Screen Painter not active or could not be canceled

Diagnosis
You chose "Cancel Graphical Screen Painter". This should terminate anyexisting "Graphical Screen Painter" process. However, the system cannotexecute the function due to one of the following:

  • There is no active "Graphical Screen Painter" process.

  • You are using a hardware platform on which the graphical Screen Painter
    • is not implemented.
    • The graphical Screen Painter is not a part of your SAP runtime system.

    • Your personal default setting for the Screen Painter is "Do not use
      • graphical Screen Painter".

      System Response
      The system cannot execute the function.

      Procedure
      If you are using the "Do not use graphical Screen Painter" setting, andyou still want to cancel the process, change your settings.
      You can do this by choosing Utilities-> Settings -> Graphical ScreenPainter on the Screen Painter initial screen or in one of the editingscreens in the Screen Painter.
