You can only display the buffer or insert information from it, if it isnot empty.

System Response
When you first select the Screen Painter, the buffer is always empty.

Procedure
Fields or field blocks marked in the fullscreen editor can be cut andtransferred to the buffer. You can use this buffer only if thetransaction is active. Fields can therefore only be transferred to adifferent screen if this was selected with F17 'Get' or F3 'Back'.
