SAP Message 29783 - The BOM for sales order item & & is not valid on &

Diagnosis
You want to change or display the BOM for item &V2& in sales documentV1. you chose v3 as the valid-from date.
This is not possible, as the BOM is not valid on &V3&.

Note
The order BOM is not valid until the requested delivery date given inthe sales order.

Procedure
Please find out the validity period of the BOM.
To display the entire validity period of the BOM, proceed as follows:

  • Choose menu option Order BOM -> Display.

    • Delete all values in the validity dataset by entering the specialcharacter "!" at the beginning of each field.
    Select the Hdr qty/long text pushbutton.
    • The next screen takes account of all changes made so far:

      • If the header data has not been changed using a change number, you seethe Header: Quantities/Long Text detail screen.
      If changes have already been made to the header with a change number,you see a header overview, showing the different validity periods ofthe header.
