SAP Message 29743 - BOM group & for document & is not valid on &

Diagnosis
You want to edit BOM group &V1& for document &V2&. You have entered thevalid-from date &V3&.
You cannot edit the BOM group on this date, as the BOM group is notvalid on &V3&.

System Response
The system checks the valid-from date of the BOM header.

Procedure
Please find out the validity period of the BOM group.
To display the BOM group over its entire validity period, proceed asfollows:

  • Choose Document BOM -> BOM group -> Display.

    • Delete all entries in the validity section of the screen by enteringthe special character "!" at the beginning of each field.
    • Choose the Goto menu, function More -> Variant overview.

      • You see a list of all existing variant BOMs in the selected BOM group,with the validity period of each.
