SAP Message 29667 - Item category & is within the SAP-reserved name range (A-W)

Diagnosis
You tried to create a new entry and used a key which lies within thereserved SAP name range.

System Response
The system does not accept the key.

Procedure
Enter an allowed key.
You can display the name range in table TRESC using transaction SE16.Enter the following data for your search:

  • Object type: "TABU"

  • Table name: T418

  • SAP/customer: "C" for customer

    • In the Name range field, you see the alphanumeric start of therange, in the Upper limit field, you see the end of the range.
