SAP Message 29666 - Item category & is within your reserved customer name range (0-9, X-Z)

Diagnosis
You tried to create a new entry and used a key which lies within yourreserved customer name range.

System Response
The system does not accept the key.

Procedure
Enter an allowed key.
You can look at the reserved name range in table TRESC usingtransaction SE16. Enter the following data for your search:

  • Object type: "TABU"

  • Table name: T418

  • SAP/Customer: "S" für SAP

    • In the Name range field, you see the alphanumeric start of therange, in the Upper limit field, you see the end of the range.
