Diagnosis
You want to change the definition of a BOM usage that is relevant to PMonly.
When you enter material items for a BOM with this usage, the systemdoes not check that the material exists in a specific plant.

Procedure
You can no longer change the definition of a BOM usage that is relevantto PM only, because:

• If you enter material items whose item statuses support use in other
application areas (such as production), the system requires data thatis specific to a plant.

• BOMs with the PM-specific usage already exist

Check whether you need to define a new BOM usage.
