SAP Message 29597 - Bill of material could not be fixed (see log)

Diagnosis
The bill of material could not be fixed for the following reasons:

  • The system could not read the material BOM, for example, because it is
    • invalid on the date selected or it has been deleted.
    • The system could not create an order BOM, because it has already been
      • created or the material BOM is configurable.

      Procedure

      • Check whether the material BOM exists and is valid on the date
        • selected.
        • Check whether the order BOM has already been created.

        • Check whether the material BOM is configurable. If this is the case,
          • choose Bill of material -> Order BOM -> Maintain multi-level onthe Bills of material screen and fix the BOM.
