Diagnosis
You want to enter a class item with resulting item category &V1& in aBOM.

• Settings in Customizing (Bills of material -> General data -> BOM
usage) determine which items can be entered for each specific BOMusage.

• Depending on the selected class type (object link), you can only enter
certain predefined item categories.
A class item with resulting item category &V1& can only be entered in aBOM if the BOM usage determines that the BOM is relevant to plantmaintenance.
