You are entering a new item and have entered an external item ID.

System Response
The system checks whether:

• This item ID has already been assigned in the BOM group


• The Rptd itm effctvty via external item ID indicator
is set in Customizing under Definemodification parameters

Procedure
The item ID you entered has already been assigned in the BOM group, soyou see this message as either an error message or a warning message.


• If it is an error message, the indicator is not set. You
must enter the item with a different item ID.

• If it is a warning, the indicator is set. Once you confirm the
message, you can enter the item with a different item ID.
