Diagnosis
You want to allocate the BOM to an additional plant. The BOM contains amaterial item with material type &V1& and item category &V2&.
In settings in Customizing (Bills of material -> Item category) thisitem category is defined such that inventory management is to becarried out on a quantity basis.
However, in settings in Customizing (Material -> Material type)material type &V1& is defined in the allocation plant such that thequantities are to be updated in the material master, so you cannotenter this material with item category &V2&.

Procedure
The BOM can only be allocated to a plant in which material type &V1& isdefined as a material type for which inventory management can becarried out.
