SAP Message 29137 - BOM usage & cannot be used with item category &

Diagnosis
In a BOM with BOM usage &v1&, you want to enter an item with itemcategory &V2&.
Settings in the IMG for production (BOMs) define which item categoriescan be entered for each BOM usage.
For BOM usage &v1& you cannot enter item category &V2&.

Procedure

  • Choose a BOM usage for which items with item category &V2& are
    • supported.
    • If you really want to enter this combination of BOM usage and item
      • category, consult your system administrator for BOMs. It may bepossible to redefine either the BOM usage or the item category.
