Diagnosis
In the standard SAP System, default settings are defined for themodification parameters.
The modification parameters are generally one-time settings for BOMmanagement, which you should not normally change once you start usingthe functions for BOMs.

System Response
The system checks whether the standard SAP System settings are defined.

Procedure
Since these standard settings are not defined, go into the customizingfunctions for 'BOMs' and perform step Define modificationparameters.
