SAP Message 29073 - BOM can only be extended via standard product &

Diagnosis
You want to extend the BOM for a material.
The material is a configured material. The BOM for the configuredmaterial was configured from the BOM for configurable material &V1&.
The BOM of the configured material can only be extended by extendingthe BOM of configurable material &V1&.

Procedure

  • Check whether the alternative concerned has been created for the
    • configurable material.
    • If required, allocate the BOM of the configured material to the
      • alternative concerned (Material BOM -> Alloc. config. mat. ->Create).
