Diagnosis
You want to create or change the BOM for material &V1&, and one of thefollowing situations triggered this error message:

• Material &V1& has a material type for which the configurable
material indicator was not entered. You are using the Extendfunction on a BOM for a configurable material.

• You want to create a variant BOM for material &V1&. Material &V1& has a
material type for which the configurable material indicator wasnot entered. However, you are trying to create a variant of a BOM for aconfigurable material.

Procedure
Please check the material types of the materials concerned. You canonly use materials whose material types have the same entry for theconfigurable material indicator.
