SAP Message 29054 - BOM cannot be deleted on & with change number &

Diagnosis
You want to delete the BOM with reference to change number &V2&. Thevalid-from date defined in the change master is &V1&.

System Response
As the BOM becomes valid on this precise date, you cannot delete theBOM with the change number &V2&.

Procedure
If you want to delete the BOM you have the following options:

  • Delete the BOM with a different change number on a later key date.

  • In the BOM header, set the Deletion flag indicator.
    • During the next archiving run the BOM will be archived and if required,deleted from the database.
