Before you can release an engineering change order (ECO) for subsequentapplications, changes to all change objects (such as bills of material,routings, and documents) must be complete and released.
The status of a document determines whether a document is complete
in this sense. If you set a document status that has the
Complete for engineering change mgmt indicator set inCustomizing, the system reads the document as released forengineering change management purposes.

If you want to assign documents of this document type to an ECO, definea status that has this indicator. Otherwise you will not be able torelease ECOs that contain documents of this document type.
