Diagnosis
You have set a status which is defined in the IMG for documentmanagement, step "Define document statuses" such that the Completefor engineering change management indicator is set. Engineeringchange management then regards the change to the document as"complete".

System Response
In engineering change management, the sytem tries to set the status"Change complete" for the document.

Procedure
When you make changes with reference to an ECR, all change activitiesare controlled by different statuses in a predefined sequence. Thesystem status of the document in the selected change master record doesnot support "Change complete" as a subsequent status.
In the change master record, check the system status of the changemaster header and the object status. You can only set a status with theCompletion message for engineering change management indicatorfor the document if the current system status in the change masterrecord supports "Change complete" as the next status for the document.
