Diagnosis
You want to edit a document and have entered the special character"* in the field Document. This entry is not allowed.

Procedure
Correct your entry in the field Document. Note the followinginformation on special characters:

• All special characters are supported for the document number.

The only exceptions are: "*", "," and "&".

• The special character "*" has a particular meaning in the
Create function:
If internal number assignment has been defined in Customizing for thedocument type concerned, you can enter this special character at thebeginning of the field. The document number will then be assignedinternally by the system.
