Diagnosis
You want to assign an object (such as a material) to a document.
Settings in Customizing (Document management) determine which objectscan be assigned to documents per object type.
Document type &V1& does not allow you to assign object &V2& to adocument.

Procedure

• Check in Customizing (Document management) which objects can be
assigned to documents of document type &V1&.

• If you want to assign an object that is not defined in Customizing for
this document type, contact your system manager.
