SAP Message >3166 - No interest posting because open credit item exists with doc number &1

Diagnosis There are open credit items on the account for which debit interest isto be calculated and then posted to. System Response The system cannot calculate debit item interest. Procedure Carry out account maintenance and offset the open credit items withopen receivables. Then you can calculate interest (see ContractAccounts Receivable and Payable menu: Account -> Interest ->Post).
