Diagnosis
Exchange rates between two currencies can be specified in differentways. The example below explains what you have to be aware of.

Example
Local currency is UNI, foreign currency is USD. The relation betweenthe currencies is such that 1 USD = 2.5 UNI.
The exchange rate can be quoted in the following forms:

  • 2.50000 (direct quotation, 1 USD = 2.5 UNI)

  • /0.40000 (indirect quotation, 1 UNI = 0.4 USD)

  • The quotation that is used is defined in Customizing for each currencypair. All exchange rates in the conversion tables must be defined forthe notation specified for the respective currency pair.
