SAP Note 390550 - ABAP Dictionary objects missing after upgrade

Component : Upgrade - general -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/390550 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
Following an upgrade, user-defined ABAP Dictionary objects like domains and tables may go missing or return to SAP default settings due to a systemic error occurring when using legacy transport methods in older releases (<= 3.0D). This misconfiguration typically arises during "tp import all" operations executed unconditionally. This not only resets import indicators but also prevents the system from acknowledging these objects during an upgrade, potentially resulting in data loss. To mitigate issues, running UPGCHKRQ before or after the upgrade identifies impacted objects for transport, helping preserve data integrity within the system landscape.
