In an SAP environment, inconsistencies between Material Management (MM) and Quality Management (QM) modules may arise due to the cancellation of material documents. This issue typically occurs when no stock-relevant inspection type is active in the material master at the time of material document creation. Ineffectively, stock gets posted into the inspection stock without generating an inspection lot, particularly during transfer postings. Problems exacerbate when, after activating quality management in the material master, the original material document gets cancelled (using transaction MBST). Resolution involves using a report from SAP Note 48815 and applying corrective actions provided to prevent further inconsistencies.
