Check the last reorganization date of the asset in asset master recordmaintenance. Depreciation postings are only allowed in posting periodsafter this date.

Procedure for System Administration
You can specify that this system message is issued in accordance withyour requirements. In Customizing, choose Asset Accounting ->Transactions -> Maintain Message Types.
You can find the application area and the message number in thetechnical information.
If you change the message type to a warning message, then the system nolonger rejects a depreciation posting for the asset with an errormessage. However, in that case, the user still has to check to make surethat the correct asset balance before the reorganization does not haveto be transferred afterward to the account assignment object (such asprofit center), because a complete transfer of the asset took placebefore during the reorganization.
