Functionality
With this function you can distribute information about the event toSAP users or external recipients from an incident/accident log entry.This means that when you choose the Send message pushbutton, aselectable number of recipients are sent information about thecorresponding incident/accident log entry. The information is sent as ashort message.
When you choose the function, the Create and Send Documentscreen appears. Here you can view the data from the incident/accidentlog entry again that is automatically made available as an attachment.You can also formulate an accompanying text of any length.
Before sending, you must specify one or more recipients. To do this,you can also use distributionlists. Once it is sent, the message appears in theSAPoffice inbox or,in SAP Releases from 4.6A, in theBusiness Workplaceof the recipient. If you send the message by express, a notificationalso appears on the recipient's screen.

Notes
The function module calls the standard function for sending shortmessages. This is integrated in the SAPoffice or - for SAPReleases from 4.6A - in the Business Workplace. As it is a userexit function module, you have the option of creating your own functionmodules and using them here. You should make sure that the interfaceparameters remain unchanged.
