This method enables the maintenance (replacement or deletion) of vendorcharacteristic values.

Notes
All characteristics and characteristic values must exist prior toassigning to them vendor characteristic values.

Determines if the existing vendor characteristic values must be deletedbefore the maintenance is carried on.
