STATUS BAPI2106IS 268 Processing Status for Additionals IDoc Records

Functionality
You can use this method to update the processing status of additionalIDocs in the SAP system.

Background
The SAP system generates data foradditionals only asIDocs. The labels, posters, or flyers are only printed using a subsystem outwith the SAPsystem environment.
You can use this method to transfer the processing status of theadditionals IDoc to the SAP system using the subsystem. The relevantdocuments are then to be assigned in the SAP system.
The status defined by the subsystem is updated at two places in thesystem:

  • Each additionals document has its own status.
  • The IDoc number is noted in an individual field. In this way, you canidentify the IDoc with its data immediately in the additionals monitorand check, for example, its contents.
    • A status is added to every IDoc:

    • Status "16" (for IDocs which have been processed successfully)
Status "17" (for IDocs which contain errors)
A message is attached to the status. In the message, you can enterdetails about the IDoc status.

      Hints
The status is only updated if authorization "Confirmation" (code 31)has been defined for the user for the field "Activity" forauthorization object "W_WTAD_ISU".
Individual messages can be written for the IDoc in the SAP system, forexample, "Toner low". You must first create a suitable message in thesystem before this can happen.
At www.sap.com/csp/scenarios, under Retail, you will find a list ofcertified subsystems for interface IS-ADP: these subsystem can be usedto create labels, posters, and flyers using additionals IDocs.

      Description
A message about the processing status of the additionals IDoc is sentfor every record in the table.

      Description

      Value range
The table contains the following fields:

      • The IDoc number clearly identifies the IDoc.

      • You can use the next four fields to create a clear reference to an

        • The status leads to the relevant status in the IDoc or the additionals
        • document. If the IDoc or document has been processed successfully, enter 0 for the status. If processing contained some errors, enter 1for the status.
          • In the remaining fields, you can define parameters for a message that
          • is visible together with the IDoc status. The message must exist inyour SAP system.
