Functionality
With this method, hierarchy data can be transfered to SAP BW in theformat of the current, valid transfer structure.

Notes

  • Required for the data transfer is a valid data request number, that has
    • not yet been used (REQUESTID). SAP BW directs back data packageswithout a valid Request ID.
    • SAP BW does not currently support any transfer of change records for
      • hierarchies
      • All hierarchy records must be transmitted in a data package to SAP BW.

        Description
        Return parameter of the method. The return parameter gives informationabout the success or failure of the callup.
        Error messages about the processing of data in SAP BW are located inthe monitor.

        Value range
        The most important error messages are:
        Class Type Code Text
        RSM E 518 Request number & is invalid
        RSM E 694 Request & is properly completed; no additional posting
        is permitted
        RSM E 713 Do not post request since previous request contains
        errors or is not finished

        Return parameter of the method. The return parameter gives informationabout the success or failure of the callup.
        The source system should use one of the error messages described belowfor reporting error messages. The fields TYPE, ID and NUMBER shouldalways be filled in, you use the message RSAR 051 with individual errormessage, the message text should then to be transfered in the MESSAGEfield.
