Functionality
You can use this BAPI to assign a higher-level functional location to anew functional location.This replaces the existing assignment to a higher-level functionallocation.
You can use the VALID_FROM_ISO parameter for the measurement readingtransfer of a higher-level functional location. However, this parameterdoes not describe the installation/dismantling time of the higher-levelfunctional location. It contains a time stamp consisting of date andtime. This time stamp is used to determine an exact time when fillingthe parameter. As of this time, a measurement reading transfer from thehigher-level functional location takes place.
If the time defined by the time stamp of parameter VALID_FROM_ISO isbefore the start of the measurement reading transfer, thefollowing applies:

  • The assignment of the higher-level functional location is revoked after
    • the BAPI BAPI_FUNCLOC_STRUC_REPLACE is executed.
    • The measurement reading transfer is retained.

      • After each call of the BAPI, perform a COMMIT WORK AND WAIT, so that thechange is written to the database.
