Functionality
You use this function module to assign values to characteristics of aninstance or, more precisely, to request that values be set.
If the configurator cannot set all values, you see a list showing allthe values that were not set, together with the reason for rejection.
If a value cannot be set, this can be for a number of reasons.For example, a single-value characteristic can already have a valuethat was set by object dependencies.

Notes
This function module also tries to interpret language-dependentcharacteristic descriptions.
You can only use this function module if you are currently processing aconfiguration.
