Functionality
With this BAPI you can change one template per template type for atemplate that is assigned to a business partner entered in the parameterBUSINESSPARTNER.
The template assignment to the business partner must exist. Thistemplate assignment is identified via the template type transferred inparameter TEMPLATETYPE.
The new template for each transferred template type is transferred inthe parameter TEMPLATEDATA.
Any errors that may occur are logged and issued in the table RETURN. Notes
Bear in mind that only template types of the category "only referencepossible" (reference template) can be used to assign a template to abusiness partner. On the other hand, if the template type used has thecategory "only copy possible" (copy template), the relevant errormessage is issued.
Changing the template assignment can, depending on the template type inquestion, lead to inconsistencies in the master data within thesubsequent processes. Therefore it is not possible to make changes forcertain template types.
In the case of these template types, a check is carried out in the BAPIto see whether the template assignment can be changed. This couldpossibly lead to a negative result.
