Functionality
Using this function module you can search for business partners.
The search criteria you can use are the telephone number, email addressand the address attributes country, region, and postal code. Othersearch criteria are central business partner data such as businesspartner number, and match code fields MC_NAME1 und MC_NAME2. You canuse the partner role to limit the hitlist even further.
The telephone number and the email address must be totally accurate,but address attributes and central data can contain wildcards, such as"*".
All the business partners matching all the search criteria are thenselected.

Description
You can conduct a search using the address attributes country, region,city, and postal code. If you enter several attributes, they will allbe considered, meaning that they are linked by AND.

Value range
These attributes may contain wildcards, such as "*".

The business partner role is just an additional search criterion tolimit the hitlist even further. It should not be used as the onlysearch criterion.

Here you can enter the business partner number, or the matchcode fieldsMC_NAME1 and MC_NAME2 as the search criteria. In the case oforganizations, the matchcode fields are the central fields NAME1 undNAME2, whereas with persons, the system looks for the first and lastname.

These attributes can contain wildcards, such as "*".

Description
The field COUNTRY_FOR_TELEPHONE lets you use wildcards to searchfor telephone numbers. This field must be filled to enable the wildcardsearch.
This field has no other meaning, and you cannot use it to makeselections.

Description
Here you can enter the email address (SMTP) address of a businesspartner as a search criterion.

Value range
The email address can have the following formats:

Description
You can enter the telephone number of a business partner as a searchcriterion.

Value range
As well as containing numbers, the telephone number can also containcharacters such as "/", "+", "-", ".", ")" and " ".

Description
You can specify the URL address, in other words the home page of abusiness partner, as the search criterion.

Value range
The system only looks for the first 50 characters of the URL address.

Description
Table in which messages are issued by the system, for example if anerror occurs or a note is given.

Description
This table contains all the business partners that match all of theselection criteria you entered. The only information that is returnedis the business partner number, and possibly the address GUID for theaddress in which the search was successful.
