Functionality
You can use this method to change the regulatory reporting data for theSAP Business Partner for Financial Services.
Regulatory reporting data is required by law. It is used by banking orinsurance supervisory authorities, to enable the revenue performance ofthe banks, insurance companies, and financial services providers undersupervision to be analyzed, for example. The main emphasis of thesupervisory regulations lies in areas such as own resources, liquidity,foreign trade, and loans business in the respective institutions.Regulatory reporting data can also be used for banking statistics, orthe compilation of information about foreign trade for the GermanFederal Bank.
The reports are based on the legal requirements of the GermanBanking Act (GBA) or the German Asset Regulation, for example.Institutes subject to these supervisory requirements can submit theirreports to the corresponding supervisory institutions (German FederalBank, German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, and so on).
You can store attributes from the following areas of regulatoryreporting in the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services:

• Regulatory reporting data in the context of the German Banking
Supervisory Body of the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority(BaFin).

• Regulatory reporting data in the context of the German Insurance
Supervisory Body of the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority(BaFin).

• Regulatory reporting data in the context of the Austrian Financial
Market Authority (FMA)

Notes
This method processes data for each business partner.
A preprocessing run takes place before the data is changed:


• A check is performed to determine whether the business partner with a
valid business partner number is available for processing.

• A simple exclusive lock is activated.

This prevents other users from changing the business partner that iscurrently being processed until either the method TransactionCommit
or TransactionRollback for the Business ObjectBapiService is executed. The authorized user can access the samebusiness partner repeatedly.
The regulatory reporting data is not written to the database until themethod TransactionCommit for the Business Object BapiService
has been called.

Authorizations
You can make settings for business partner authorization objects to bechecked in Customizing for the SAP Business Partner underBusiness Partner-> Basic Settings-> Authorization Management.

Buffering
This method works with buffering. Change and read methods for thisbusiness object category can be repeatedly used for this instance. Aftercalling the save method, read and write methods can access thebuffered instances and supply current attributes in the same Logical Unit of Work (LUW)
.

Return messages
Messages are returned in the Return parameter. You can find thereturn values and their meaning in the parameter documentation.
If errors occur, the entire Logical Unit of Work (LUW) must be discarded. To do this, call themethod TransactionRollback for the Business ObjectBapiService.
