The bank account number and, if T005-BNKEY = "1" then also the bankkey, are subjected to a formal check according to the rules defined intable T005. Providing an extended check was activated by selecting the "Bank data"field (under "Further checks" when maintaining table T005), thenadditional country-specific check digit procedures are used.
