You cannot carry out any consistency checks for a given characteristicfor master data or texts for the characteristic using transaction RSRV or the RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL program. The following error messages are issued: RSDMD163, RG102 (Syntax error in GP_ERR_RSDMDTMPLCHECK______), RSDMD250 (error when generating the check program with RSDMD_CHECKINC template).

The error specifically occurs if columns, whose names do not differ from each other in the first 15 characters, exist in at least one of the master data tables (P, Q, X, Y) of the characteristic. This constellation can only occur during a corresponding naming of the attributes if the attributes are assigned to a partner namespace.
The error is traced back to the use of 15-digit CHAR variables for storing column names. Currently, column names can be a maximam of 16 characters. The error is corrected with the delivery of the Support Packages mentioned below.

• BW 3.0A

           Import Support Package 10 for 3.0A 0A (BW3.0A Support Package 10 or SAPKW30A10) into your BW system. The Support Package will be available once note 458702 with the short text, "SAPBWNews BW 3.0A Support Package 10", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.

• BW3.0B

           Import Support Package 3 for 3.0B (BW3.0B Support Package 3 or SAPKW30B03) into your BW System. The Support Package will be available once note 493973 with the short text, "SAPBWNews BW 3.0B Support Package 3", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
